New initiative after Mahila Samman and Sanjeevani Yojana

Earlier, Arvind Kejriwal had announced Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana.

Mahila Samman Yojana: Under this, eligible women above the age of 18 years will be given ₹ 1,000 every month. If the AAP government is formed again in 2025, this amount will be increased to ₹ 2,100.

Sanjivani Yojana: The Delhi government will bear the cost of treatment of senior citizens above 60 years of age.

Election preparations in full swing

Keeping in mind the possible assembly elections in Delhi in February 2025, AAP has already started full preparations. The party has released the list of its candidates for 70 assembly seats. This time those leaders have been denied tickets, against whom voices of protest were being raised.

Attempt to woo the public with new schemes

Arvind Kejriwal, while giving information about his scheme on the social media platform X on Monday, said that this announcement will be a cause of happiness for the people of Delhi. The Pujari and Granthi Samman Yojana is an attempt to garner support among religious and social classes.

Mahila Samman Yojana surrounded by controversies

However, controversies have also arisen regarding the Mahila Samman Yojana. Government officials have alerted the public through advertisements that the government has not issued an official notification of this scheme. Despite this, AAP claims that the scheme has been implemented and eligible women are getting benefits.

What do political critics say?

Experts believe that these schemes of Aam Aadmi Party have been made to attract voters before the elections. Through Mahila Samman Yojana, Sanjeevani Yojana and now Pujari and Granthi Samman Yojana, the party is trying to woo different sections.

Conclusion

These schemes of Aam Aadmi Party are giving a new dimension to the political landscape of Delhi. Now it will be interesting to see how much the public accepts these schemes and what story the election results of 2025 tell. At present, AAP's focus is on fulfilling its election promises and building a strong base among the public.
