New Delhi: Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait on Saturday said he does not consider him a criminal who allegedly killed Bharatiya Janata Party workers in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri. According to Tikait, they did this in response to the car being mounted on the protesters.'Those who kill BJP workers do not consider criminals'Rakesh Tikait said, 'A convoy of cars trampled 4 farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri, in response to which 2 BJP workers were killed. It was a reaction instead of an action. I do not consider those involved in the murder as criminals. Apart from this, Yogendra Yadav, leader of United Kisan Morcha said, 'We are saddened by the death of people, be it BJP workers or farmers. It was unfortunate and we hope justice will be served.Demand for the removal of Ajay Mishra from the post intensifiesFarmer leaders on Saturday demanded that Union Minister Ajay Mishra and his son be arrested in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. The leaders said that the incident was a well-planned conspiracy. Yogendra Yadav said that Ajay Mishra should be removed from the government because he hatched this conspiracy and he is protecting the culprits in this case.
