West Bengal: The Calcutta High Court on Thursday handed over the investigation of the violence that broke out during Ram Navami in Howrah and Dalkhola districts as well as other parts of West Bengal to the NIA. The Acting Chief Justice's bench has ordered the West Bengal Police to hand over all the reports related to the investigation to the National Investigation Agency within two weeks. Let us tell you that this order of the High Court has come on a PIL filed by BJP MLA Subhendu Adhikari demanding an NIA probe into the violence that broke out on the day of Ram Navami in West Bengal.

Significantly, on the occasion of Ram Navami, violence broke out at many places in West Bengal. In Howrah, the miscreants created a lot of uproar. Many vehicles were set on fire. At the same time, during the stone-pelting incident, many shops were ransacked. Apart from Howrah, incidents of stone pelting were reported from many districts.

At the same time, in this case, Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee had claimed that the procession, while targeting a community, specially chose such a way to attack, for which she did not even take permission. After this statement, BJP fiercely accused TMC.
