The errors in the criminal appeal-cum-bail petition filed in the Jharkhand High Court on behalf of former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, convicted in the fodder scam, have been cleared by his advocate. Now the next hearing of this case will be on March 11. During the last hearing, the court of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh of the High Court had given time till March 7 to the petitioner to rectify the errors in the petition. In the light of the order of the court on behalf of the appellant, the errors have been rectified. Let us inform that on 24 February, former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav had approached the Jharkhand High Court against the latest decision of the CBI court in the fodder scam case. At the same time, his lawyer had filed a bail application.The court had convicted Lalu on February 15, sentenced him on February 21.In the fifth fodder scam case, on February 21, a special CBI court had sentenced Yadav to five years imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 60 lakh on him. The court had convicted Yadav on February 15, while 24 of the 99 accused were acquitted. 46 convicts were sentenced to three years imprisonment.What is the matterThe CBI court found Yadav guilty of illegal withdrawal of Rs 139.35 crore from the Doranda treasury. Earlier, the former chief minister was also sentenced in four other cases of fodder scam. This case RC 47A 97 was the fifth and largest case.
