Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi told in an interview how once when Madhuri was going through a shocking experience in personal life, she impressed everyone by doing amazing act in reel life.

Did work with Rajkumar in 'Lajja'

Rajkumar Santoshi told that this incident happened when she was shooting in Ooty and she had to catch a flight from Bangalore to Mumbai. Rajkumar Santoshi and Madhuri Dixit worked together for the first time in the film 'Pukar'. Apart from this, the two also worked together in the 2001 film 'Lajja', in which he played the role of a theater artist.

When Madhuri Dixit was shooting in Ooty

Describing the expertise of Madhuri's work, Rajkumar Santoshi told TOI, “We were busy shooting in Ooty. The production in-charge came to me and asked if we can finish the shoot by 2.30 pm as Madhuri will probably have to leave by evening. I told him we could try. In lunchtime I came to know that Madhuri Dixit's father's house is raided and he is very tense about it.

Amazing comedy scene done in spite of stress

Rajkumar Santoshi told, 'Madhuri Dixit's mother was there with us on the shoot. Despite the tension, Madhuri Dixit was shooting for a comedy scene. He didn't even let the director know that he was under stress and had to reach Mumbai and he had to catch this flight from Bangalore. That is, if the shooting was delayed, then his flight would have been missed.
