Mahindra New Electric Car / Mahindra will compete with Tata, launched XEV 9e, BE 6e electric car

Mahindra New Electric Car: India's leading automobile company Mahindra & Mahindra has launched two new electric SUVs, Mahindra XEV 9e and Mahindra BE 6e, to mark its strong presence in the electric vehicle market. These vehicles have been developed on the company's Born Electric platform, which has been designed for electric vehicles from the beginning. With this launch, Mahindra has given a direct challenge to Tata Motors in the EV segment, which is currently considered the biggest player in this market.

Range up to 500 km and fast charging

Both these electric cars of Mahindra have been introduced with advanced battery packs.

BE 6e: 59 kWh battery, range up to 400 km in a single charge.

XEV 9e: 79 kWh battery, range up to 500 km in a single charge.

Charging from 20 to 80% can be done in just 20 minutes in both these vehicles.

Modern design and high-tech features

The design of these electric cars of Mahindra is of international level.

XEV 9e: Length 4.789 m, ground clearance 207 mm, 663 liters boot space and 150 liters frunk.

BE 6e: Length 4.371 m, ground clearance 207 mm, 455 liters boot space and 45 liters frunk.

Both the cars have muscular bodies and minimalist exterior designs.

UV protection and cabin cooling

Mahindra has prioritized health and comfort in these cars. The windshield, roof glass, and side glass of the cars have UV protection coating, which provides protection from up to 99.5% UV rays. This feature helps in cooling the cabin faster, making it 40% more effective than normal cars.

Futuristic interior and technology

The XEV 9e has a 43-inch screen setup. Its theater mode synchronizes the screen.

ADAS features include auto adjust head-up display, traffic analytics, and 360-degree camera.

Mahindra Sonic sound system and 16 speakers from 1400-watt Harman Kardon equipped with Dolby Atmos technology have been used.

Performance and Speed

XEV 9e: 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.

BE 6e: 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.

Both vehicles generate 288 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque.

Price, booking and battery warranty

XEV 9e price: ₹21.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

BE 6e price: ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bookings will start soon, and these vehicles will be available in the market by January 2025. The company is offering a lifetime warranty on its batteries, which will be available to the first owner. Second hand owners will be given a warranty of 10 years or up to 2 lakh km.

Mahindra has launched these vehicles with a new logo with an infinity symbol. These are symbols of the company's new vision and innovation.
