Uttarakhand landslide: News of a major accident is coming out from Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. A part of the tunnel under construction between Silkyara-Dandalgaon of Uttarkashi has broken. This under construction tunnel is broken 150 meters ahead of Silkyara. According to the information received, a large number of workers are reported to be trapped inside the tunnel in this terrible accident.Rescue operations beginThe statement of DGP of Uttarakhand has also come out on this accident of collapse of the tunnel under construction in Uttarkashi. He has also said that there is a possibility of workers getting trapped inside the tunnel. Senior officers are present at the spot of the incident. Rescue operations have been started to save the workers.
40 laborers strandedThis accident happened around 4 am on Sunday morning. This tunnel under construction was about 4 kilometers long, about 150 meters of which was broken. According to information received from PTI, about 40 laborers are reported to be trapped inside this accident. As soon as information about the accident was received, Uttarkashi Superintendent of Police Arpan Yaduvanshi immediately reached the spot and took charge of the relief and rescue operations.Why is this tunnel necessary?To save people from the accident in the tunnel, police, National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force, fire brigade, emergency 108 and employees of NHIDCL, the organization constructing the tunnel, are also present on the spot. Everyone is working to open the tunnel.
