Turkey Earthquake: Four countries of the Middle East, Turkey (old name Turkey), Syria, Lebanon and Israel were shaken by an earthquake on Monday morning. There were major earthquakes here in 12 hours. The most devastation is being seen in the epicenter Turkey and the areas of Syria near it.

According to the news agency Reuters – more than 4300 people have died in Turkey and Syria so far. Tremors were also felt in Lebanon and Israel, but no damage was reported here. So far 2921 people have lost their lives in Turkey. There is news of more than 15 thousand people being injured. The government has declared 7 days of national mourning. At the same time, 1444 people were killed in Syria and more than 2 thousand were injured.

According to Turkish media – 3 major tremors occurred. The first according to Turkish time, around 4 in the morning (7.8) and the second at around 10 (7.6) and the third at 3 in the afternoon (6.0). Apart from this, 78 aftershocks were recorded. Their intensity was 4 to 5.

Along with European Union, India will also send help to Turkey. Government of India said- 2 teams of NDRF consisting of 100 personnel with specially trained dog squads and necessary equipment are ready to go to the earthquake affected area.

Israel, Azerbaijan, Romania, Netherlands are also sending teams for rescue.

Blood donation camps have been set up in earthquake affected areas in Turkey.

Russia has also announced to send aid to Turkey and Syria. Putin is currently preparing to send two Ilyushin-76 aircraft with 100 rescue personnel.

America, Britain, France and China are also ready to send help.

Heavy destruction occurred in 10 cities including Ankara, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaras, Diyarbakır, Malatya, Nurdagi. There is news of more than 1,710 building collapses here. Many people are buried under the debris. Rescue operation is going on to save people. Emergency has been imposed in many areas.

Schools and colleges will remain closed for a week

A statement was issued by the office of Turkey's Vice President Fuat Okte. Said- Emergency and red alert will continue in 10 cities of the country. All schools and colleges will remain closed for a week. At present, 200 flights have been cancelled. We are building an air corridor for the military. In this, only aircraft will be allowed to land and takeoff.

Such a dangerous earthquake occurred after 100 years, 10 thousand people may die

On the other hand, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) has said something shocking. According to its figures, the death toll in Turkey has crossed two thousand. This number can reach up to 10 thousand. USGS reasoned behind this that in 1939 there was a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. Then 30 thousand people had died. At the same time, in 1999, there was an earthquake of 7.2 magnitude, when more than 17 thousand people lost their lives.
