Recently in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, a man attempted samadhi on the advice of a local Hindu priest and buried himself 6 feet under the ground. The sadhu told the gullible young man that if he takes 'samadhi' a day before the start of Navratri festival, he will attain enlightenment.

Sadhu and accused youth arrested

When the people of the village came to know about this, they informed the police, after which the police reached the spot and saved the youth. The youth has been identified as Shubham Goswami, a resident of village Tajpur under Asiwan police station area. The police have arrested both the accused sadhus and the youth.

The video of the operation done to save the youth is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video of the rescue operation, the police can be seen removing bamboo and polythene from the grave built in the swampy land.
