Regarding this, a source in the board said that the PCB had told the ACC that it would announce the Asia Cup schedule within five minutes of the start of the ceremony in Lahore, but Jay Shah made the announcement on social media half an hour before the ceremony, which was to be held at 7.15 pm.The source further said that this destroyed the importance of the PCB's function. The PCB has expressed its displeasure to the ACC but was told that it was due to a misunderstanding. The ACC said that the misunderstanding occurred due to the time difference but the announcement by Jay Shah was surprising as India's time is half an hour ahead of Pakistan's.
