Visited army headquarters

Shehbaz Sharif, former leader of Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, will send an advice to President Arif Alvi. If the President procrastinates, the Assembly will be dissolved within 48 hours of the advice of the Prime Minister. Shehbaz Sharif visited Pakistan Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi, indicating that he will step down.

Shahbaz had said in a rally on Sunday that he would dissolve the parliament on August 9 and the people of Pakistan would elect their government through votes in November 2023. The Election Commission of Pakistan has not yet announced the dates for the general elections.

According to the newspaper report, Prime Minister Sharif made his farewell visit to the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Tuesday, marking a significant moment in his tenure as head of government. The Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by the Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir.
