Independence Day: On the 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort. The PM said that violence in some parts of the Northeast, especially in Manipur, is a matter of great concern. The crime committed against women and daughters here has brought shame to the country. But since a few days, peace has returned there. PM Modi said that the state government there and the Center are restoring peace and soon the old situation will be restored. He said that today the whole country is standing shoulder to shoulder with Manipur and its people.

Expressed concern about natural calamity

PM Modi said that today the youth have given India a place in the first three startup ecosystems of the world.
