G-7 Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for India from Italy after the G-7 summit ended. PM Modi held bilateral meetings with several world leaders including British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, French President Emmanuel Macron and Pope Francis. Prime Minister Narendra Modi described his visit as useful and thanked the people and government of Italy for the warm hospitality.Emphasis on technology and AIAddressing the outreach session of the G7 summit in Apulia, Italy, PM Modi called for ending monopolies in technology and said that it should be made constructive to lay the foundation of an inclusive society. Discussing technology and artificial intelligence, PM Modi gave the mantra of Artificial Intelligence for All. PM Modi said that India is one of the first few countries to prepare a national strategy on Artificial Intelligence.
Meeting with world leadersDuring the summit, Prime Minister Modi met US President Joe Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Macron, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Ukrainian President Zelensky, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Pope Francis and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, among others.First bilateral talks of the third termAfter assuming power for the third time, PM Modi met a foreign head of state and that was French President Macron. PM Modi held the first official bilateral meeting of his third term with President Macron. Apart from India, Italy invited the leaders of 11 developing countries from Africa, South America and the Indo-Pacific region to attend the G7 summit.Had a very productive day at the G7 Summit in Apulia. Interacted with world leaders and discussed various subjects. Together, we aim to create impactful solutions that benefit the global community and create a better world for future generations.
