PM Modi US Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his three-day visit to America, where he has met many important global leaders and discussed various issues. The main objective of his visit is to strongly present India's position on global forums and move forward in the direction of peace, development and cooperation. During this, he participated in the Quad Summit and held important talks with Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas and the Prime Minister of Nepal.

Meeting with the President of Palestine

Prime Minister Modi's meeting with Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas was an important milestone in this visit. This meeting was very important in view of the conflict going on in Gaza and its humanitarian situation. Prime Minister Modi on this occasion reaffirmed India's continued support to the people of Palestine and said that India wants to play an active role in the peace process. Advocating a two-nation solution, he said that lasting peace and stability in the region can only be possible with this solution.

The Prime Minister reiterated India's longstanding policy on the Israel-Palestine conflict, calling for a ceasefire, release of hostages and diplomatic dialogue. India has always supported peace and maintained its relations with both Israel and Palestine. He also reminded that India was one of the first countries to recognise Palestine, and India supports Palestine's membership in the United Nations.

Concern over humanitarian crisis in Gaza

Expressing concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza, Prime Minister Modi said that India stands with the people of Palestine and will maintain its commitment to their safety and dignity. Giving information about this meeting, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal wrote, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and reaffirmed India's support to the people of Palestine."

India's peace policy

Prime Minister Modi again gave the message of peace and cooperation on international forums. He said, "This is not the era of war," and it is India's policy to move forward in a spirit of friendship with all countries. While many big countries of the world have taken sides in various conflicts, India is working towards a solution through peace and diplomacy from a neutral point of view.

India has adopted a clear policy on the conflict between Gaza and Israel. When Hamas attacked Israel on 7 October 2023, India strongly condemned Hamas. At the same time, India also expressed its concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. But when the resolution against Israel was introduced in the United Nations General Assembly, India did not participate in the voting, indicating that India is moving on the path of peace and diplomacy without getting directly involved with any party.

Meeting with other global leaders

During the US visit, PM Modi also met Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. This was the first time that Prime Minister Modi and the Crown Prince of Kuwait met face-to-face. During this meeting, the two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. Apart from this, PM Modi also held talks with the Prime Minister of Nepal, where he emphasized on further improving mutual relations between the two countries.

India's growing role

This visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi makes it clear that India is an emerging country on the global stage with its policy of peace and development. By keeping a neutral and balanced approach on major issues of the world, India has given the message that it is emerging as a responsible power not only for itself but for the entire world.
