New Delhi: Wading into the controversy surrounding the arrest of a climate activist in India, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that India under Narendra Modi and RSS regime believes in silencing all voices against them."India under Modi/RSS regime believes in silencing all voices against them ... Now, they have also taken Disha Ravi for custody over Twitter toolkit case," the ruling party of Pakistan said in a tweet.Disha Ravi, a 21-year-old climate activist, was arrested from Bengaluru on Saturday in connection with the “toolkit” shared by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and others on Twitter to extend support to the farmers' protest underway at several border points of the national capital against the Centre's farm laws.Disha was arrested by a Cyber Cell team of the Delhi Police, a senior police officer said on Sunday. She has been sent to the custody of Delhi Police Special Cell for five days by a court.Political row over Disha's arrestThe arrest drew sharp reactions from the opposition parties, including Congress, that are seeking immediate release of the activist.Congress leader Rahul Gandhi earlier today hit out at the Central government over the matter and said that the country cannot be silenced.Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal too criticised the arrest of the activist and called it an "unprecedented attack on the democracy". "Supporting our farmers is not a crime," he said on Twitter.On February 4, the Cyber Cell had registered an FIR against "pro-Khalistan" creators of the "toolkit" for waging a "social, cultural and economic war against the Government of India". The police had said that a pro-Khalistan group named “Poetic Justice Foundation” is the creator of the "toolkit".The case against unnamed persons was registered on charges of criminal conspiracy, sedition and various other sections of the Indian Penal Code.
