PM Modi Meghalaya Tripura : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit two states of North East today on 18th December. According to the information received from PAO, today PM Modi will be on a tour of Tripura and Meghalaya. Here PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development schemes worth 6800 crores. PM Modi will also meet the Chief Ministers of eight northeastern states. During this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also be with him. Amit Shah was in West Bengal on Saturday, where he has reached Tripura. According to the information received, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Ministers and Governors of eight northeastern states reached Shillong on Saturday to attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the North Eastern Council (NEC). It may be noted that assembly elections are to be held in Tripura and Meghalaya next year. Before which PM Modi will give a big gift to the people.
Two lakh people will get the gift of a housePM Modi will launch the Griha Pravesh program for more than two lakh beneficiaries under the 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban and Rural' in Agartala during this visit. Apart from this, PM Modi will also dedicate 4G towers to the country. According to the information, the work of 320 towers has been completed. 890 are under construction.
Will inaugurate IIM in UmsavaliApart from this, PM Modi will inaugurate the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Umsawali. He will also launch several other development initiatives including four road projects in the three states of Meghalaya, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh. Along with this, PM Modi will also inaugurate 21 Hindi libraries in Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura and Assam.
Will address public meeting in AgartalaGovernors and Chief Ministers of North Eastern States are scheduled to attend the NEC event at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Polo Ground) here. From Shillong, the Prime Minister will travel to Agartala, where he will address a public meeting at Swami Vivekananda Maidan on Sunday and inaugurate some projects and lay the foundation stone for some others. The BJP-led government issued a circular asking central and state government officials to attend the rally in Agartala.
Will meet BJP MLAs, elections will also be discussedTripura Information Minister Sushant Chowdhary said that over 72,000 people from across the state would participate in the public rally. West Tripura Superintendent of Police Shankar Debnath said the Border Security Force deployed along the border with Bangladesh has also been put on alert in view of the Prime Minister's visit. Before returning to Delhi, PM Modi will meet BJP MLAs and discuss the roadmap for the Tripura assembly elections to be held in February next year.
