Priyanka Gandhi News: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has filed her nomination papers from Wayanad, Kerala. On this occasion, her mother Sonia Gandhi, brother Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge were present with her. Priyanka's husband Robert Vadra and son were also with her at the time of her nomination, which shows the support of her family. Before the nomination, Priyanka Gandhi addressed a grand road show and public meeting in Wayanad, where she appealed to the public for their support.

Priyanka's emotional address in the public meeting

Priyanka Gandhi said in her public meeting, "This is the first time I am campaigning for myself." Referring to her brother Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra, she said that his struggle was against hatred and faith in the public was a symbol of this journey. Priyanka promised the people of Wayanad that she would stand with them in every situation and this new political journey of hers would be completed with the guidance of the people of Wayanad.

She also said that for the last 35 years she had been campaigning for her mother, brother and other Congress leaders, but this is the first time she is in the electoral fray herself and seeking support from the public. In her address, Priyanka gave the message of emotional connection with the public, which is a new beginning of her political journey.

Rahul and Priyanka together in road show

The Congress also did a show of strength during Priyanka Gandhi's nomination. Chief Ministers of Congress-ruled states and senior AICC leaders were also present in Wayanad to show support for Priyanka. Rahul Gandhi also participated in this road show, which was an indication that the Gandhi family is fully supporting Priyanka in this new political journey.

Electoral contest: Priyanka vs Navya Haridas

Priyanka Gandhi will face Satyan Mokeri of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and Navya Haridas of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Navya Haridas is a software engineer who has worked in Singapore and the Netherlands, who has also served as a councilor in Kozhikode. Her experience and local connect could prove to be a challenge for Priyanka. Navya's international experience and activeness in local politics make her a strong candidate in this election.

Priyanka wins from Wayanad, three members of the Gandhi family together in Parliament?

If Priyanka Gandhi is elected from Wayanad, it will be her first parliamentary membership. Priyanka, who entered active politics before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, is discharging her responsibility as the party general secretary. If Priyanka wins, it will be the first time that three members of the Gandhi family — Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi — will be in Parliament together.

Wayanad seat election: Congress' future

Rahul Gandhi had won both Wayanad and Rae Bareli seats in 2019, but the Congress had announced that it would keep the Rae Bareli parliamentary constituency and leave the Wayanad seat. After this, Priyanka Gandhi got a chance to contest from Wayanad. By-elections for Wayanad and 47 other assembly seats will be held on November 13, and the results will be announced on November 23. Priyanka Gandhi's performance in this election will also be important for the future of Congress.

Priyanka's victory from Wayanad will not only be a new beginning for the Congress but will also strengthen her image within and outside the party.
