Cricket Desk: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the first game on Saturday in the last-over thriller. AB de Villiers‘ unbeaten 22-ball 55 was the highlight of RCB’s innings but their opener Aaron Finch was all over social media soon after the match. He didn’t do much with the bat in the chase scoring only 14 runs off 11 balls and was the first batsman to get out.

The reason he was the talking point after the match was that the cameras caught him vaping (smoking an e-cigarette) in the dressing room when the game was in progress. It all happened in the final over of the innings when RCB needed 10 runs off the final over. After Gurkeerat Singh took a couple off the first delivery, the cameras panned to both the camps to show how tense they were in a close finish.

But Aaron Finch was seen vaping and also exhale smoke before the action resumed in the middle. However, a second or two was enough for the fans to catch the Australian opener and the pictures of the same start doing rounds on social media. Rather a five-second video has also been captured in which Finch can be clearly seen smoking an e-cigarette.

RCB won the thrilling game

As far as the game is concerned, after losing the toss, RCB bowled well in patches. The likes of Robin Uthappa and Steve Smith batted well for the Royals to propel the team to 177 runs in their 20 overs. While Smith finally was back to scoring runs and smashed 57 off 36 balls, Uthappa, back to opening the innings, scored 41 off just 22 balls.

In response, RCB lost Aaron Finch early after which Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli stitched a good partnership. However, both getting out in quick succession led to the pressure getting to the RCB. AB de Villiers though had other ideas. He launched an assault on the opposition, especially Jaydev Unadkat to slam three sixes in the 19th over of the innings. It turned to be game-changing in the end as RCB registered their sixth win of the season.
