Gujarat News: 18 people died tragically in a massive explosion in a firecracker factory in Deesa town of Banaskantha district of Gujarat on Tuesday morning, while many others were seriously injured. The death toll is expected to increase. At the time of the incident, 30 workers were working in the factory. Police and administration are investigating whether the factory had a license to manufacture firecrackers or not. Inspector Vijay Chaudhary of Deesa Rural Police Station said that a large part of the factory has been completely damaged. On the basis of preliminary investigation, there is a possibility of non-compliance of safety standards in the factory.Video and eyewitness statementsA video has surfaced after the accident, in which the walls of the factory are seen completely destroyed. Tin sheds are scattered and smoke is seen rising all around. The administration is also investigating whether the factory had the necessary permission to manufacture firecrackers.
