The heat will haunt Delhiites this whole week. On May 17 and 21, there is a possibility of dust storm with thunder and lightning. At the same time, on May 18 and 19, the sky will be clear, but strong sunlight and heat will make the people of the capital sweat. Yellow alert continues on 20 May. Heat will prevail in different places.

On Sunday, the people of Delhi were suffering from severe heat wave throughout the day. Humidity was recorded at 56 percent with strong sunlight. The minimum temperature here was 25 degree Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of strong dust storm on May 16. The heat wave will continue throughout the day with strong sunshine and the maximum temperature is likely to be 41 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be 27 degree Celsius.

pollutants will remain

On Sunday, the pollutant PM 10 in the air was recorded at 242 in the medium category and 99 in the PM 2.5 poor category. At the same time, the average air quality for the day in Delhi was recorded at 242 AQI in the poor category. On May 16, PM10 is expected to be 266 in the poor category and 108 in the PM 2.5 poor category. Apart from this, the air will remain in the poor category for the next three-four days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be severe heat wave and strong sunshine in Delhi throughout the week. In between, the maximum temperature will definitely drop by a few degrees due to the speed of about 30 km per hour and dust storm.
