Now Dhawan is divorced from his wife Ayesha Mukherjee. The Family Court of Patiala House Complex, Delhi has approved the divorce. Apart from this, the court has also allowed Dhawan to meet his son.

Family Court Judge Harish Kumar has accepted the divorce petition and accepted all the allegations made by Shikhar Dhawan against his wife Ayesha Mukherjee. The charges have been accepted on the ground that the wife either did not contest the charges or failed to defend herself. The judge also admitted that Ayesha caused mental pain to Dhawan by forcing him to live separately from his only son. Currently, the court has not given any order on who will keep the son, but has also accepted that Dhawan can meet his son in India and Australia for a reasonable period and talk on video call.

Married in 2012

Shikhar Dhawan married Ayesha Mukherjee in the year 2012. She is 10 years older than Dhawan and this is her second marriage. Ayesha's first marriage was to an Australian businessman, with whom she has two daughters. Dhawan-Ayesha have a son, Zorawar. Both of them met through a common friend on Facebook. Then both of them fell in love with each other and got married.

Shikhar Dhawan has been out of the Indian team for a long time. Now he is seen playing only in IPL. He has played cricket in all three formats for India. Dhawan has scored 2315 runs in 34 Tests, 6793 runs in 167 ODIs and 1759 runs in 68 T20 matches.
