India-Canada Relations: India and Canada's relations have gone through many ups and downs in the last few years. India recalled its High Commissioner and expelled six Canadian diplomats after Canada accused Indian officials of involvement in the murder investigation. Recently, India and Canada have been making efforts to improve their relations amid former US President Donald Trump's tariff policies and possible trade sanctions. According to a Bloomberg report, both countries are considering sending back their diplomats, thereby re-establishing diplomatic dialogue. The Bloomberg report also pointed out that Canadian intelligence chief Daniel Rogers recently attended an intelligence conference hosted by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in New Delhi. The meeting could be an important step towards resuming dialogue between the two countries.

In addition, a possible meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Canadian counterpart Mark Carney is also being speculated at the Group of Seven (G7) summit to be held in Alberta, Canada in June. India is an observer country of the G7, and talks could be held to improve relations between the two countries using this platform.
