Mumbai | Actor Sushmita Sen expressed her grief over the death of her friend and a renowned artist Ram Indranil Kamath on Thursday.Taking to her Instagram, Sushmita shared a few pictures of Kamath and his art, “An extremely gifted Artist, unique to his core and a friend who graced my life with colors & canvases filled with divinity!! ❤️ Rest in peace Indranil @instahindu Thank you for gracing my life!! My deepest condolences to the family. #duggadugga 🙏, Sushmita wrote in caption.
Kamath was found dead by committing suicide at Matunga, Mumbai on Wednesday. His body was found in bathtub in his house sans a suicide note. Mumbai police is investigating the death from all the angles.
Ram’s mother found him in the bathtub. It has been found he was under stress and his mental health declined amidst the Corona lockdown.
Ram lived with his mother in his Mumbai apartment. Apart from being a phenomenal artist he was a great photographer. In fact, his glasswork paintings were popular in the Mumbai art circuit.
He was also a mythologist known for his Indian Calendar art and claimed himself as Mahalaxmi’s favourite child.
On work front, Sushmita Sen recently made her digital debut with a crime drama web series titled ‘Aarya’ along which also starred Chandrachur Singh, Sikandar Kher and Namit Das in pivotal roles.
