India is developing a new air-to-air version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile. It is believed that this new missile will be able to target the enemy even from 800 km away. So far, after being released from this Sukhoi-30MKI fighter aircraft, it has the ability to destroy targets up to 300 km away.According to a report by news agency ANI, sources said that the range of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile has already been increased. Apart from this, with the capability of being airborne at higher altitudes, this missile can cover a greater distance and can also target the enemy at a distance of 800 km or more.This missile recently came into the limelight when due to a technical fault it went off and fell in Pakistan. The Defense Ministry has also ordered a 'Court of Inquiry' to investigate the accident that took place during the Command Air Staff Inspection from a unit of the Indian Air Force. However, there is no information about any damage in this incident.After the accident, India had written a letter to the Pakistani authorities expressing its regret. But, Pakistan is trying to drag the issue internationally. Let us inform that the Indian Air Force has equipped about 40 of its Sukhoi-30 fighter aircraft with BrahMos supersonic cruise missile which can cause heavy destruction in the enemy camp.
