Train Accident: A train accident took place on Saturday morning in Adra, Bankura, West Bengal. The wagons of one goods train climbed on top of the wagons of another goods train. Due to this 12 coaches got derailed. Manish Kumar, DRM of Adra Division, believes that the incident happened due to the fault of the driver. It is being said that the goods train driver had fallen asleep. Due to this he could not see the signal and due to this the accident happened.

Meanwhile, as soon as the news of the accident was received, Senior Divisional Security Officer of the Railways, Dibakar Majhi reached the spot. He said that this accident happened due to some problem. However, he told the media that he would have to wait for the investigation report to know what actually happened. Didn't want to say anything more than this.

Apart from him, Manish Kumar, DRM of Adra Division of South Eastern Railway went to the spot as soon as he got the information about the accident. He said that a goods train was standing on the loop line. The signal on the line was also red.

The driver did not notice that the signal was red. The result was that the accident happened. Railway officials say that the driver may have fallen asleep. Maybe that's why he could not see the signal. In this incident, the driver of the train going to Bishnupur was injured.

Sources in Adra division further said that at around 4:15 am engine number 31798 crossed the down home signal at Ondagram station while it was red and hit a standing goods train on the down loop line, after receiving the news around 5 am. Accident relief medical equipment special train left from Adra.

The accident relief train left Adra at 5:30 am and the crane at 6:39 am. Apart from the guard Swaroop Singh and the official driver GS Kumar of the accident train, the guard was SK Nonia. they are being interrogated.

Train services disrupted due to goods train accident, many trains canceled

Adra division has already canceled 12 trains and diverted 2 trains after goods train accident at Onda station of Adra division of South Eastern Railway. According to railway sources, some more trains may be canceled as time progresses.

Trains going to Kharagpur and Howrah have been canceled since this morning and railway passengers are facing trouble. Some people were going to Kharagpur, Bishnupur or Kolkata for different work, but all of them had to face problems due to the cancellation of the train.

Sources in Adra division of South Eastern Railway said that the important trains canceled so far are Purulia Howrah Purulia Super Fast Express, Asansol Digha Express, Santragachi Purulia Rupsi Bangla Express, Kharagpur Hatia Express, Gomo Kharagpur Express, Howrah Ranchi Express, Adra Kharagpur , Bishnupur Adra, Bishnupur are included.
