The Assam police on Sunday gunned down 3 people who allegedly attempted to loot a bank withinside the State’s western Kokrajhar district. Three others controlled to escape, the police stated. Assam Director-General of Police Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta stated the “dacoits” opened fire at the police. Three men, injured in retaliatory fire with the aid of using the police, succumbed to their wounds, he added.
