Raj Bhavan has invited JMM Legislature Party leader Champai Soren to form the government in Jharkhand. Champai Soren will take oath as Chief Minister today (Friday). Jharkhand New CM: Raj Bhavan has invited JMM Legislature Party leader Champai Soren to form the government in Jharkhand. Champai Soren will take oath as Chief Minister today (Friday). Amid concerns over the delay in the Governor appointing JMM legislature party leader Champai Soren as the chief minister, the alliance also made efforts to relocate its MLAs in two private planes. According to some MLAs of the alliance, there was a plan to take him to Hyderabad in two private planes. However, the plan to take the MLAs to Hyderabad had to be canceled as the planes could not take off due to low visibility at the airport.

Letter of support already submitted to the Governor

After the resignation and arrest of Hemant Soren, no government exists in the state. On Thursday, JMM also released a video, in which 43 MLAs of the 81-member state assembly were seen present to show the strength of the alliance. Gurunar Champai, after meeting the Governor in the evening, had said that we told the Governor that I have already submitted the necessary letter of support for the formation of the new government and he should start the process for it soon.

Champai Soren, along with four other MLAs of the alliance, had gone to meet Radhakrishnan. He also said that the Governor has assured him that he will soon take a decision on his request for government formation. He said that we are united. Our alliance is very strong, no one can break it.

Jharkhand's constitutional crisis averted

Saryu Rai, an independent MLA from Jamshedpur East Assembly seat of Jharkhand and a minister in the previous government, congratulated Champai Soren on his birthday. He also wrote that Jharkhand's constitutional crisis has been averted due to the wise decision of the Governor.
