World News: Pakistan police on Saturday arrested five TTP terrorists during an intelligence operation in Punjab province. In Wana, the headquarters of South Waziristan, on Friday, more than 5,000 locals took out a rally against increasing violence, terrorism and kidnapping in their areas. Meanwhile, in a video on Saturday, TTP chief Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud was quoted as saying, "We talked to Pakistan under the mediation of Afghanistan." We are still ready for a ceasefire agreement.

TTP's close ties with Al-Qaeda

Let me tell you, in November last year, TTP had canceled the indefinite ceasefire agreement with the government in June 2022 and ordered its terrorists to attack security forces. TTP is believed to have close links with Al-Qaeda. It threatened to target top leaders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's PML-N and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari's PPP.

What did you say about the ceasefire agreement?

According to a Pakistani newspaper, TTP chief Mufti Noor Wali Mehsud was quoted in a video on Saturday as saying, 'We talked to Pakistan under the mediation of Afghanistan. We are still ready for a ceasefire agreement.

The TTP chief said, 'If you find any problem in our Jihad, if you feel that we have changed our direction, we have gone astray, then you are requested to guide us. We are always ready to listen to your arguments with pleasure.

Efforts continue to stop the expansion of banned TTP

In fact, on January 4, the Supreme Council of TTP issued a new directive on meeting the TTP chief. It banned any meeting with the chief till further orders, citing security concerns. The country's civilian and military leadership is conducting a major policy review to prevent the expansion of the banned TTP amid increasing terrorist attacks. Official sources say closed door talks are on and a major decision is expected in the next few weeks.
