To achieve this ambitious goal, the state government has started working in a planned manner. Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development, Export Promotion, NRI and Investment Promotion Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi highlighted the plans and achievements of the state government in this direction. He said during the ongoing Uttar Pradesh International Trade Exhibition (UPITS) in Greater Noida that this exhibition is giving the state new opportunities on the global platform, which will prove helpful in increasing the state's economy rapidly.

Target of one trillion dollar economy

Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi clarified that the state government has set a target of 1 trillion dollar economy by 2027. For this, various schemes are being worked on to promote investment and industrial development in the state. He said that the state government is working on more than 25 sectoral policies to attract foreign investment and create new employment opportunities.

The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Exhibition (UPITS), which was held in Greater Noida from September 25 to 29, is a major step in this direction. More than 350 buyers from over 70 countries participated in the exhibition, helping Indian producers and exporters to access the global market.

Role of MSMEs and prospects in the global market

The MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) units of Uttar Pradesh are important pillars of the state's economy. State MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan emphasized that it is very important to adopt innovation, technology and eco-friendly activities to strengthen the MSME sector in the global market. He said that the second edition of UPITS is an important opportunity not only for local manufacturers but also for exporters to establish their foothold in the global market.

Role of Uttar Pradesh in GDP and exports

On this occasion, Dr. Ajay Sahai, Director General and CEO of Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), highlighted the important share of Uttar Pradesh in GDP and exports. He said that Uttar Pradesh currently contributes 10 percent to India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 5 percent to total exports. With the continuous efforts and planned strategy of the state, Uttar Pradesh can aim to increase its export share to 10 percent by 2030.

FIEO President Ashwini Kumar also praised the event and said that this exhibition is a golden opportunity to highlight the industrial potential of the state. Uttar Pradesh has made a strong hold in emerging sectors like electronics, defense, machinery, medical equipment, and pharmaceuticals. This exhibition has done an important job of presenting the potential of Uttar Pradesh in all these areas to global investors and partners.
