Now it is not good for those who do not pay the invoice. Delhi Traffic Police has made preparations to increase strictness against those who do not pay challans. Now the vehicle challan will be linked to the insurance of the vehicle. If the vehicle owner has not submitted the challan, then his vehicle will not be insured. In such a situation, vehicle owners will be in big trouble in case of any kind of accident. The Traffic Police has sent its proposal to the Delhi Government. Once approved, it will be implemented.

It is seen that the vehicles keep getting challaned and the vehicle owners do not fill the challans. In such a situation, many challans of vehicle owners remain pending for months. According to the figures of 2021 last year, only 10 percent of the total deducted challans have been deposited. In the year 2021, a total of 5091592 challans were deducted for red light jumping, over speeding, stop etc., out of which only 571479 challans have been submitted. According to SK Singh, DCP (Modernization) of Delhi Traffic Police, it is seen that people either do not fill the challan or do not fill it on time. At present, there are about one crore 13 lakh challans deducted by Delhi traffic which have not been filled. People are getting into the habit of not paying challans.

DCP SK Singh said that now the insurance of the vehicle will be linked with the challans of the vehicle in order to get the challans from the people. Unless the vehicle owner fills the challan, the vehicle will neither be insured nor the insurance will be renewed. He told that Delhi Traffic Police has written a letter to the Delhi Government for this. The Delhi government has given a written reply to the Delhi Traffic Police that the matter is being discussed with the authorities and further action will be taken soon. SK Singh believes that the Delhi government will soon link the insurance with the challans of the vehicles. The Delhi government is also going to do that such vehicle owners whose challan is pending or who have not filled the challan will not be given documents like Pollution Under Control Certificate and Permit.

Invoices can be filled like this

. Those who have not filled the challan can submit the challan online.

. Challans are also being deposited in the virtual court. Challans can also be filed in Lok Adalats. Lok Adalat will be held on March 12.

. Apart from this, if a Jado or a traffic worker is found standing on the way or at any intersection with a challan depositing machine, then the traffic challan can be deposited by paying him money.
