Delhi NCR | A major accident took place in Noida's Sector-21 on Tuesday. In Jalvayu Vihar here, four people have died after being buried under the rubble due to the collapse of the wall, while 9 people have been rescued alive. This painful accident happened during the cleaning in the drain along the wall.All the laborers are residents of Badaun. They had reached near Jalvayu Vihar at 9:30 in the morning to clean the drain. Three JCBs have been deployed to clear the debris of the wall. All the officers and forces of the police department are present on the spot. Police Commissioner Alok Singh himself, DM Suhas LY, Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari reached the spot and engaged in rescue.NDRF team has also reached the spot. It is said that the laborers were doing the work of cleaning the drain at the behest of contractor Sundar. The wall was already dilapidated, the contractor was informed about it. But despite that the contractor did not let the work stop. There is a huge crowd at the spot.DM Suhas LY said that the Noida Authority had given the work of cleaning the drain in Sector 21 near Jalvayu Vihar. When the workers were taking out bricks, the wall collapsed. So far four deaths have been reported. Two have died in the district hospital and two have died in Kailash Hospital. The incident will be thoroughly investigated.Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari said that on the request of the society, the work of cleaning the drain was being done. Investigation will be done in this matter, if the contractor employed laborers even after the dilapidated wall, then action would be taken against him if found guilty. The tender process of the contractor will also be scrutinised.It is being told that more than a dozen laborers were involved in cleaning the drain. All the workers were buried under the rubble as the entire wall collapsed for more than 100 meters. Police and firefighters immediately reached the spot. The wall is of Jalvayu Vihar Society. There is a drain from outside the wall. That's where the cleaning was going on. The wall fell on the outside towards the drain. Police has started investigating the matter.
