Hundreds of civilians killed in attacks

According to reports, so far 200 civilians have been killed and dozens have been seriously injured in Israeli attacks on the homes and tents of displaced people in Gaza. According to eyewitnesses, Israeli fighter planes and drones were seen flying at very low altitudes in various parts of Gaza, creating an atmosphere of fear among the people living there. Palestinian civilians were hoping for the ceasefire talks to be successful, but these attacks have shaken their hopes.

Israeli Prime Minister gave information about the attacks

The Israeli Army (IDF) and security agency Shin Bet issued a joint statement saying that they were carrying out large-scale attacks on Hamas targets in Gaza. The Israeli Prime Minister's Office also confirmed that the military operation was resumed after Hamas rejected the US ceasefire proposal.

At the same time, a senior Hamas official told international news agency Reuters that Israel had broken the ceasefire on January 19, which caused the conflict to flare up again.

Peace talks fail

Mediators had tried to hold talks between Israel and Hamas to restore peace, but Israel refused to enter the second phase of the ceasefire agreement. This phase lasted for six weeks and after this there was a plan to implement the ceasefire permanently.
