IND vs ENG | Left arm spin bowling all-rounder Krunal Pandya will be seen playing for a county cricket club in England for the first time. He has signed with Warwickshire for the Royal London Cup. Krunal Pandya, who is out of the Indian team, will be associated with Warwickshire for the entire season of the Royal London Cup.

The 31-year-old Krunal is not part of the Indian squad for the ODI and T20I series against England to be played this month. In such a situation, Krunal will be the third Indian after Washington Sundar (Lancashire) and Cheteshwar Pujara (Sussex) to be seen playing in the tournament, starting on August 2.

The introduction of The Hundred competition last year has diminished the importance of the Royal London One Day Cup, as England's best players do not play for county teams. However, Indian players currently playing cricket are not allowed to play in any T20 league other than the IPL and the brilliance of the Royal London Cup has increased with the addition of three big players.

Warwickshire Director of Cricket Paul Farbrace said: "I am delighted to welcome Krunal to Edgbaston. Krunal will bring international experience to our team." At least 10 club players are going to take part in The Hundred and the rest of the places will be filled from next week's draft of domestic players. There will be many young players in the ODI team and he hopes that Krunal will mentor them.

At the same time, on this occasion, Krunal said, "I am excited to have the opportunity to play county cricket and be associated with such a big club. Edgbaston is a wonderful ground and I look forward to calling it my home. I look forward to the team's ODIs." In the campaign, I will be able to make my contribution."
