Joshimath Sinking Reason: In Joshimath of Uttarakhand, cracks are continuously increasing on houses, houses, shops and roads. New cracks are emerging here anytime, anywhere, anywhere, and these cracks are not small, these cracks are frightening, because of this thousands of people are in pain. Those who have no fault but still they are in danger of leaving their home. According to the new report, now there are more than 700 houses with dangerous cracks and at the time when you are reading this story, there may be cracks in some more houses, that means the danger is big, people are scared. Huh. They don't know when and how many dangerous cracks will emerge in whose house in Joshimath. The frightening thing is that these houses can collapse anytime, because the soil under the houses here is continuously sinking and due to this till now around 100 families have shifted from their homes to other places.

Who is responsible for landslide in Joshimath?

The water power project and other construction works going on there are believed to be responsible for the landslide in Joshimath town of Chamoli district. These allegations are of those people of Joshimath, who are seeing their houses crumbling at this time, whose houses have been destroyed in this disaster. Those who are living in the shadow of fear every moment, all the time. At present, many steps have been taken to deal with this problem in Joshimath, the Modi government is constantly monitoring it.

CM Dhami met the victims

The Commissioner of Joshimath has given instructions for the deployment of NDRF in Joshimath so that immediate help can be provided in case of any emergency. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself reached Joshimath on Saturday i.e. January 7 and went to the affected areas and met the victims. Earlier on Friday, Chief Minister Dhami talked to scientists and experts on this issue so that the problem could be solved soon.

Ban on these projects

A team of experts has started an investigation in Joshimath to find out why cracks are appearing at various places. Along with NTPC's power project, the work on the tunnel under Joshimath has also been stopped and orders have been given to investigate NTPC's tunnel as well. Apart from this, the Joshimath-Oli ropeway has also been closed for the time being and movement of people at certain places has also been banned.

There is no limit to the pain of the people of Joshimath. They are not at all responsible for these cracks and they have not done any such work, due to which cracks have appeared in their house, shop and surrounding areas. A tunnel is being built in Joshimath and NTPC is making it. It is 12 km long and starts from Tapovan, about 15 km from Joshimath. It is to be built up to Shelong village near Joshimath, more than half of its work has been completed and the rest of the work was going on, but the work has been stopped after the information about the cracks.

This tunnel is part of the Vishnugarh Hydroelectric Project, which is built on the Dhauli Ganga River. You will remember that on February 7, 2021, there was a natural disaster in Raini village near this place in Uttarakhand, in which more than 100 people died. At that time, in this tunnel of NTPC, a lot of water had entered along with the debris during the disaster. Now the people of Joshimath are blaming this tunnel and other work being done in the mountains here for the cracks in their houses.
