CM Nayab Singh Saini: Haryana government has made a big announcement for women. With the aim of economically empowering the women of the state, the government has decided to launch the "Lado Laxmi Yojana". This scheme will provide financial assistance of Rs 2100 every month to those women whose family annual income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini shared the information about this scheme.The announcement was made during the assembly electionsAssembly elections were held in Haryana on 5 October 2024, and the results were declared on 8 October 2025. BJP won an absolute majority in this election. During the election, the party had guaranteed Rs 2100 per month for women in its manifesto. This promise played an important role in the election and women supported the BJP in large numbers.The scheme will start from March 7Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that this scheme will be implemented from March 7, 2026. The scheme will benefit women between 18 and 60 years of age, provided their family income does not exceed Rs 1.80 lakh per annum. The government aims to empower economically weaker women so that they can improve their standard of living.Budget and number of beneficiariesThe Haryana government has set a budget of Rs 10 to 12 thousand crores for this scheme. There are a total of 52.95 lakh BPL families in the state, which include about 50 lakh women. Senior officials of the Finance and Planning Department said that this scheme will prove to be a big relief for women of socially and economically weaker sections.Documents required to avail the schemeTo avail the benefits of this scheme, women will have to submit the following documents:Family Identity Card (PPP)Birth CertificateFamily Income CertificateAadhaar CardGovernment ObjectiveThe Haryana government is trying to make women self-reliant and strengthen their economic condition through this scheme. This will not only provide financial assistance to women but will also give them an opportunity to move towards respect and self-reliance in the society.
