Call it the cinema of Marvel Studios or the films of Harry Potter series and Lord of the Rings series, due to the effect of all this, a whole generation of young audience has been prepared in the last two and a half decades, who listened to their indigenous stories from grandmothers and grandmothers in such a way. It is expected from Hindi filmmakers to be shown on screen in a grand manner. It is a matter of surprise that even after the technology of making films has advanced so far, no Hindi filmmaker's attention has gone towards this till now. In Indian fables, many mythological stories come in the form of interpolations of the main stories. Ayan Mukerji's film 'Brahmastra', thought up 11 years ago, is proposed to be made in three parts like one such short story. The first part of this story is made by Ayan in the form of the film 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva'. Its sequel film 'Brahmastra: Part Two Deva' has also been announced in the climax of the film and at the juncture at which the story stops, the interest of watching its second part remains in the audience.
Fictional story based on the axis of Brahmastra
In Hindu mythology, Brahmastra is the weapon that never fails after being fired. Here those who read the Ramcharit Manas telling the great story of Treta Yuga will remember the couplet 'Brahma Astra Tehi Sandha Kapi Mana Kinh Vichar. Jau na brahm sir manaun glory mitai immense.. Then it has also been used in the war of Mahabharata in Dwapar. This is a weapon that is perfect. It can be used repeatedly. And, whenever it is used it does not return empty. Some themselves bow down in front of it and get tied in the loop and some are removed from the target and the direction of Brahmastra is also changed. Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' is a film. Its story runs in the present, past and future. Ayan traces the end of the story from the time immemorial and from the origin of the Brahmastra to the present day, forming a secret community of its keepers, where religion and science amalgamate in the form of the scientist Mohan. The Queen of Darkness learns some secrets from Mohan and in the midst of their quest emerges the love story of Shiva and Isha.
Curious for 'Brahmastra' in America
I saw 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva' here in the city of Anaheim, famous as the first Disneyland town to be settled by Walt Disney, near the city of Los Angeles, USA. Tourists from all over the world have started holding a fair in Anaheim. The D23 Expo is going to start here from Friday. Thousands of tourists visit this procession held every two years. And, this year its specialty is also that with this the 100th year of Disney's establishment is beginning. 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva' is also a Disney branch of Star Studios' film. This coincidence is also strange. Watching 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva', which was included in the list of Disney's international releases, was a different feeling in the US also because some Hindi cinema enthusiasts also met in the theaters here.
The story of love's victory over supernatural forces
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been one of the most talked-about lovers of Hindi cinema in recent times. The flame of love between the two that arose during the shooting of this film, its glimpse is found in this film. If you have seen Amitabh Bachchan-Rekha, Dharmendra-Hema Malini movies then you see a different noor on their faces in front of the camera. This is of intense love. This noor is also seen on the faces of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia in this film. And, it is also a coincidence that in the climax of the film, there is also an explanation of telling the power of love to be greater than any cosmic or supernatural power. 'Brahmastra: Part to God' is going to take this power of love forward. 'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva' is that opportunity of Hindi cinema, which if it can be saved from boycotts and blasphemous cynics, then it can make an Astraverse Hindi cinema like Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is not completely true, but if you look at it from the entertainment point of view, then it is not even fake like 'Prithviraj' or 'Shamshera'.
With the colors of festivals, traditions
'Brahmastra: Part One Shiva' is seen in a way, it is a good attempt to bring the young generation running away from the eternal cultures and traditions back towards their axis. Usually, when the process of touching the feet in films is gasped in sliding down from the knees, here the protagonist of the story touches the feet of his superiors at least twice by going up to the toes. The festivity of the film has its own colour. A glimpse of the colours, lights and enthusiasm between Dussehra to Diwali is seen in the film. The film also tries to create its own separate world slowly from the midst of the present world. The story goes from Delhi to Varanasi via Himachal Pradesh and during this the entire sequence of an attack on a car is quite thrilling. Amitabh Bachchan is used for his aura in the film, while Mouni Roy manages to make an impact in her intrigues and violent intentions.
slow story after intermission
Seeing Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt sitting in love while doing a film on screen for the first time is going to be very pleasing to the lovers of real life. The film also touches the heart of Shahrukh Khan's fans. The entire sequence of the attack on the scientist Mohan's house in search of the first part of Brahmastra, watching the stars with his telescope, keeps the audience hooked. The journey from Vanarastra to Nandiastra has both speed and adventure. 'BrThe 'Hamastra: Part One Shiva' slowing down begins from where an ashram comes in the story outside of which 'Ashram' is also written. Such mistakes are many in the film, in which an attempt is made to tell the audience some obvious things either by playing voice in the background or by showing something on the screen, which is not needed in the film. It is not good to tell too much in the cinema.
Salute to Ayan's courage
As a director, Ayan Mukerji has tried to make such a film, which even the stalwarts of Hindi cinema could not dare to make in this era. There are plenty of movies made on the original mythology. But, this is a different use of creating fictional stories in mythological scenarios. Ayan Mukerji writes his name in Hindi as 'Ayan Mukerji', according to the spelling of his name in English. Seeing the film, it is also known that the world of mythology, comics has also been his English. He has also been taking reference points of fantasy cinema from English films. His efforts in the film, his belief in the story and his courage to take the film to the screen by completing a daunting task are commendable. But, if he wants to make the second episode of this film, then he will have to fix the nail thorns of his team. Knowing his power, Shiva's song should have been no less than Tandav Stotra, and not least Amitabh Bhattacharya has the ability to write such a Hindi song. He too has slowly become Javed Akhtar. All his songs are in total 120 words in Urdu. The dialogues of the film also do not help in increasing the weight of the story.
