According to the ministry, there has been a decrease of 13,089 active cases in the last 24 hours in the country. According to the updated data, there are currently 3,98,100 active cases, 3,06,21,469 discharged and 4,21,38 dead in the country. So far, the total confirmed cases of corona in the country have been 31,440,951. At the same time, according to ICMR, 17,20,110 samples were tested in the country on Monday. So far, 4,59,16,4121 samples have been tested across the country.

Earlier, the ministry said that the total number of doses of Kovid-19 vaccine given so far in the country has crossed 44.19 crore. In another significant achievement, Maharashtra on Monday became the first state to administer both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to over one crore people, the ministry said. The ministry said that 66 lakh doses of the vaccine were given on Monday. It said that in the age group of 18-44 years, 7,20,900 vaccines were administered as first dose and 3,49,496 as second dose on Monday.

A total of 14,19,55,995 people in the age group of 18-44 years across the country have received their first dose and 65,72,678 people have received the second dose since the start of the third phase of the vaccination campaign. Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh have given more than one crore doses of COVID-19 vaccine in the age group of 18-44 years. The ministry said that Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Kerala, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand and West Bengal have provided Kovid-19 vaccine to more than 10 lakh beneficiaries in the age group of 18-44 years. given the first dose.
