Karnataka Unlock / 19 Districts to Partly Unlock From Today, Check Guidelines and rules

After the decrease in the number of active patients of Kovid-19 in the country, the process of unlocking has started in many states. Many restrictions are going to be relaxed from Monday in the worst affected Delhi and Tamil Nadu. In Karnataka too, the process of unlocking has started in 19 districts except 11 districts. Parks and industrial units have got permission to work here.

Bengaluru: After the decrease in the number of active patients of Kovid-19 in the country, the process of unlocking has started in many states. Many restrictions are going to be relaxed from Monday in the worst affected Delhi and Tamil Nadu. In Karnataka too, the process of unlocking has started in 19 districts except 11 districts. Parks and industrial units have got permission to work here.

According to the order of the state government, parks and industries have been allowed to open, shops selling essential goods, and autos and taxis to operate with a maximum of two passengers have been allowed. The guidelines state that the parks will remain open from 5 am to 10 am. Taxis and auto rickshaws can operate with a maximum of two passengers.

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa had said on Thursday that 11 districts with high rates of infection would continue with COVID restrictions till June 21 while some relaxations would be given in the rest of the state from June 14. These 11 districts include Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Davangere, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Belagavi and Kodagu.

As per the guidelines, all industries have been allowed to operate with 50 per cent workforce, but apparel industries have been allowed to operate with only 30 per cent workforce.

These said that eateries, shops dealing with groceries, fruits and vegetables, meat and fish, dairy and milk booths and animal feed will be allowed to function from 6 am to 2 pm. Street vendors, PDS shops and optical shops will be allowed during the same period.

7,810 new cases of corona virus infection in Karnataka, 125 deaths

On Sunday, 7,810 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Karnataka while 125 patients died. The Health Department gave this information. With the arrival of new cases in the state, the total number of infected has reached 27.65 lakh while the death toll has reached 32,913. On Sunday, 18648 patients have become infection free in the state and so far 25,51,365 patients have become infection free. At present, 1,80,835 patients are under treatment in the state.
