Schools and colleges closed in many districtsTamil Nadu government said that 12 teams of NDRF and state security forces have been deployed in 10 districts. These include 16,000 policemen and 1,500 home guards. A team of 12 members of the District Disaster Management Force has been kept on standby. Due to cyclonic storm Mandus, it was decided to keep schools and colleges closed in several districts including Chennai and Cuddalore.
