The effect of cyclonic storm 'Dana' has started in Odisha and West Bengal. Along with strong winds and rain, rail and air services have also been affected. More than 300 trains have been cancelled, including Howrah-Puri Express and Bhubaneswar flight services.

Cyclone Dana News: The effect of cyclonic storm 'Dana' is increasing rapidly in Odisha and West Bengal. Strong winds and heavy rains continue in many areas. Due to this, railway and air services have been badly affected. More than 300 trains have been canceled, including more than 200 local trains. Major long distance trains like Howrah-Secunderabad Express and Shalimar-Puri Superfast Express have also been affected.

Railways has informed that many more trains have been canceled till October 25, including Howrah-Bhubaneswar and Kamakhya-Yeshwantpur Express. Eastern Railway has stopped the operation of 190 local trains in Sealdah division from the night of October 24, so that any train remains in a safe place during the cyclone.

Along with this, Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar has been closed for 16 hours from the evening of October 24 to the morning of October 25. Every day, around 100 flights and 15,000 passengers are being affected.
