Jammu-Kashmir News: The news of a BSF jawans' bus crashing in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir while on election duty has shocked everyone. Three jawans lost their lives and 32 others were injured in this horrific incident in the Bril Waterheel area, out of which the condition of 6 is said to be critical. The injured have been immediately admitted to SDH Khan Sahib and Budgam hospitals.

According to eyewitnesses, the bus suddenly slipped off the road and fell into the ditch. A total of 35 jawans were on board the bus at the time of the accident. The incident was carrying jawans for the second phase of election duty. Locals responded quickly and reached the spot and helped the injured. Police and other local officials also reached the spot immediately and started evacuating the trapped jawans.

Investigation and response

Meanwhile, in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, three BSF jawans were also injured when a mortar exploded at a firing range. The incident took place when the jawans were practicing, and they have been admitted to a hospital in Pokhran.
