AAP MLA from Doda Mehraj Malik made serious allegations against the BJP and said that liquor shops are opening rapidly in Jammu and the BJP is directly responsible for this. In his statement, Malik said, "Both Muslims and Hindus drink alcohol. But there is no second opinion on who drinks in public. When Muslims drink alcohol in public, they are questioned and attempts are made to ostracize them from society." Accusing the BJP of double standards, he said that the BJP was silent when women who protested against the sale of alcohol were being attacked. He asked, "When alcohol was being sold at shops and mothers were being beaten, where were their (BJP) emotions?"

Reaction to non-bailable warrant

Meanwhile, reacting to the non-bailable warrant issued against him by a Jammu court, Malik said it was a personal matter and he was currently focusing on his duties in the assembly. He advised against unnecessarily raising the issue.
