After winning the toss and coming to bat at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, the Netherlands team was all out for 179 runs in 46.3 overs. Afghanistan's batsmen achieved the target of 180 runs by losing 3 wickets in 31.3 overs. With this victory, Afghanistan remains in the race for the semi-finals. The team has moved to 5th position in the points table with its fourth win in 7 matches. Afghanistan has 8 points in its bag. In the last 2 matches, the team had defeated Sri Lanka by 7 wickets and Pakistan by 8 wickets.

From the Afghan team, captain Hashmatullah Shahidi played half-centuries of 56 runs and Rahmat Shah played half-centuries of 52 runs. Before this, Mohammad Nabi took 3 wickets.
