Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah from Okhla has got relief in the Delhi Waqf Board money laundering case. AAP MLA has got bail from Rouse Avenue Court. Actually, summons were issued several times to Amanatullah Khan to appear before the ED but he did not appear before the ED. Later the Supreme Court ordered him to appear before the ED. After this Amanatula Khan appeared before the ED.

Bail granted on personal bond of Rs 15,000

However, the Rouse Avenue Court later said that Amanatullah Khan appeared before the investigating agency on a summons of the ED even though the ED had summoned him several times to appear. The court said that the MLA will have to appear in the court. Following this order of the court, Amanatullah Khan appeared in Rouse Avenue Court today and the court granted him bail after his appearance. The court has granted bail to Amanatullah on a personal bond of Rs 15,000.

ED had interrogated on April 18

Recently, ED had interrogated the AAP MLA for more than 12 hours in the money laundering case related to irregularities in Delhi Waqf Board. The AAP MLA reached the ED office at around 11 am on April 18 and was interrogated and his statement was recorded by the agency.

ED has raided the MLA's residence

ED has also conducted raids in the case related to MLA Amanatullah Khan. The ED alleges that Khan accumulated huge amounts of cash from crime through illegal recruitments in the Delhi Waqf Board and used the amount to purchase immovable property in the name of his associates. The raid was conducted in a case related to illegal recruitments done by Amanatullah Khan during his tenure as the Chairman of Delhi Waqf Board from 2018-2022 and improper leasing of Waqf properties for personal gain. The ED had said that the FIR lodged by the CBI and three complaints lodged by the Delhi Police formed the basis of its action against the Aam Aadmi Party MLA.
