New Delhi : Lassa fever, which is spreading rapidly in Nigeria amid the Corona epidemic, can create a new challenge for the world. According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), 123 people have died of Lassa fever in Nigeria this year in 88 days. At the same time, the infection has been confirmed in 659 people so far.Two patients have been found in Britain while one death has occurred. Organ failure is the cause of death in severe patients.Fever effect for 21 daysThe effect of Lassa fever on humans lasts for two to 21 days. According to the US health agency Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the disease was first confirmed in 1969 in the city of Lasa, Nigeria. After this it was named Lasa. On an average, one lakh to three lakh cases occur every year and five thousand deaths occur. Outbreaks are high in Benin, Ghana, Mali, Sierra Leone, Nigeria.symptoms of corona like lasaAccording to WHO, a person who is exposed to Lassa virus has high fever, headache, sore throat, muscle pain, chest pain, diarrhoea, cough, abdominal pain and nausea. In severe patients, there is swelling of the face, water in the lungs, bleeding from the mouth and nose. The patient's blood pressure also starts falling rapidly.
