iPhone 16: Apple has given a big shock to Indian users on the launch of iPhone 16. The company has ended its 5-year-old partnership with HDFC Bank, due to which cashback and discount offers on HDFC Bank cards will no longer be available. HDFC Bank has cited cost-to-income as the reason for taking a break from this partnership and has expressed the possibility of re-tie-up in the future. At present, Apple is planning new offers with other banks like American Express, Axis Bank, and ICICI Bank.

5 year old partnership ends

According to reports, HDFC Bank says that they had a partnership with Apple for the last 5 years, in which users were offered good cashback on purchasing Apple products. HDFC said that a break has been taken for some time to know the partnership nature. First the cost-to-income will be monitored, after which further decision will be taken.

Due to the end of this partnership between HDFC Bank and Apple, users will not get exclusive discounts on the bank's card. However, it is not clear yet whether users will continue to get cashback and discounts for some time or not. Apple opened its physical retail store in Delhi and Mumbai in India last year. Apart from this, the company is also going to open Apple stores in other metro cities of India.

Tie-up with these banks

The company may offer some exclusive discounts and offers from its side in the coming time. Also, it can offer cashback offers in collaboration with American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank. The cashback offers etc. available with the new iPhone series will be revealed only after the launch of iPhone 16. The company has mentioned the names of these three banks on its official website. The name of HDFC Bank is currently missing from the official site.
