Maharashtra Election 2024 / BJP's third list released, Sudhakar gets ticket from Nagpur West

BJP has announced 25 candidates in its third list for the Maharashtra Assembly elections. These include Harish Pimpale from Murtizapur, Sai Dahake from Karanja and Umesh from Morshi. So far, candidates have been decided for 146 seats, in which tickets of many old candidates have been cut.

Maharashtra Election 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is preparing for the Maharashtra Assembly elections, has released its third list of candidates. This time the names of 25 candidates have been included in the list. Among them, Harish Marotiappa Pimpale from Murtijapur, Sai Prakash Dahake from Karanja, Rajesh Shriram Wankhede from Teosa and Umesh from Morshi have been given tickets. Apart from this, the Ashti seat, which was under the sitting MLA of the Ajit Pawar faction, has now come into the BJP's account and Suresh Dhas has been fielded from here.

Candidates for Nagpur region and other major seats

The BJP has also announced the names of its candidates in many areas of Nagpur. Sumit Kishore Wankhade from Arvi assembly seat of Nagpur, Charansingh Babulalji Thakur from Katol, Ashish Ranjit Deshmukh from Savner, Praveen Prabhakarao Datke from Nagpur Central and Sudhakar Vitthalrao Kohle from Nagpur West have been declared candidates. This list shows that BJP has selected candidates by giving importance to local and regional leaders.

Nominations announced on 146 seats so far

BJP has announced its candidates on a total of 146 seats so far. Names were announced on 99 seats in the party's first list, 22 in the second list and now 25 candidates have been included in the third list. From these nominations, the party's objective of creating a wide electoral base in Maharashtra is clearly visible.

Prakash Mehta did not get ticket from Ghatkopar seat

BJP has cut Prakash Mehta's ticket from Ghatkopar seat this time too. Parag Shah has been made the candidate in his place. Last time also there was a conflict between the supporters of Prakash Mehta and Parag Shah due to not getting the ticket. This time also this decision can create a stir among the supporters. At the same time, Sanjay Upadhyay has been given ticket from Borivali seat, which is considered safe in Mumbai. The ticket of current MLA Sunil Rane has been cut from here. Earlier this seat was with Vinod Tawde, whose ticket was cut and given to Rane last time.

Santuk Marotrao Hambarde in the fray for Nanded by-election

BJP has declared Santuk Marotrao Hambarde as its candidate for the Nanded Lok Sabha by-election. This seat was vacant after the death of Congress MP Vasantrao Balwantrao Chavan, due to which by-election will be held here on November 20. Congress has also tried to garner sympathy through nepotism by fielding the son of the late leader from this seat, while BJP has made the election more interesting by fielding its senior leader.
