G20 Meeting: On the second and last day of the G20 meeting in Delhi, a bilateral meeting was held between Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and PM Narendra Modi. In the meeting, the leaders of both the countries discussed the issue of adherence to laws and foreign interference, including the Khalistani issue. After the meeting was over, Trudeau said on the Khalistani issue that we are against violence and hatred. Some people involved in violence do not represent the entire community.

He said, during the meeting with PM Modi, there was also discussion regarding adherence to rules and regulations between India and Canada. Canada always supports freedom of expression, but we are against violence and spreading hatred. At the same time, on the issue of Khalistani extremists, Trudeau said that some people do not represent the entire community.

Trudeau further said, the issues of Khalistani extremism and foreign interference were discussed in the bilateral meeting. This issue has been discussed many times in the last few years. Freedom of expression and freedom of peaceful protest are extremely important to Canada. Along with this, we always stand to stop violence and reduce hatred. It is important to remember that the actions of some individuals do not represent the entire community or Canada.

Anti-India posters were put up in Canada

In fact, Canada is often in the news for giving shelter to Khalistani supporters. Whenever action is taken against Khalistani terrorists in India, its reaction is seen in Canada. Recently, after the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, supporters had announced to take out an anti-India rally in Canada on July 8. Posters regarding the rally were also found at many places in Canada.

India had expressed strong objection to the poster

At the same time, India's Foreign Ministry had expressed strong objection regarding this rally in Canada. The Foreign Ministry had said in its statement that the posters put up in Canada are inciting to attack our diplomats and embassies. This is not acceptable to India under any circumstances. We have appealed to provide security to our diplomats and missions in Canada.
