China Slammed Pakistan: The relationship between Pakistan and China may be a symbol of friendship on the surface, but on closer inspection, this relationship seems to be an attempt to take advantage of each other. This friendship is based on an anti-India agenda, in which both countries put pressure on India in their own ways. While Pakistan promotes terrorism against India, China provides direct and indirect support to it. But now when the ill effects of terrorism growing in Pakistan have started affecting China's interests, China has become angry and has also reprimanded Pakistan for taking strict action on this issue.

Chinese officials become victims of terrorism in Pakistan

In the last six months, there have been two major terrorist attacks on Chinese officials in Pakistan, in which Chinese officials were specifically targeted. Due to this incident, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong has instructed the Shahbaz government of Pakistan to take decisive action against terrorist organizations. In the recently held 'China@75' seminar, the Chinese Ambassador stressed the need for better security protocols in Pakistan towards Chinese citizens and projects.

China's concern before Xi Jinping's visit

Before the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Pakistan, China's concern about the safety of Chinese citizens in Pakistan has increased. China has expressed hope that Pakistan will take strong measures to protect Chinese citizens and projects in the country. Especially regarding the security of projects like China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Ambassador Jiang Zaidong warned that it would be difficult to achieve any goal without a safe environment.

Growing wave of anti-China sentiment in Pakistan

There is tremendous opposition to China in Pakistan's Balochistan province. Balochistan is Pakistan's largest and resource-rich province, but the people here have not got any benefit from China's big projects. The local people have neither got employment nor has there been any improvement in their standard of living, due to which people are angry with both the Pakistan government and China. Recently, Chinese officials also lost their lives in an explosion near Karachi airport, for which the Baloch Liberation Army took responsibility.

Pakistan's failure and claim of cooperation

Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, while claiming Pakistan's anti-terrorism operations, said that China-Pakistan friendship is not digesting some powers, due to which attacks on Chinese officials are increasing. He said that the efforts being made by Pakistan will be updated in the upcoming meeting of Jinping and Zardari, but China's concern has increased due to the attacks on Chinese officials in Pakistan.

Conclusion

The relationship between Pakistan and China is not limited to anti-India; it is also a process of taking strategic and economic benefits from each other. While Pakistan gets financial and military support from China, China gets an opportunity to pursue its economic interests through projects like CPEC. But China's concern over the increasing instability and terrorist attacks in Pakistan is natural. It is clear from this that tension can arise in the friendship of China-Pakistan if Pakistan does not strengthen its security policies.
