New Delhi: The Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya is being cleared to make way for the construction of the Ram temple. The clearing began on Sunday, which marks a memorable moment for Hindus, according to Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the makeshift temple. Machines have begun levelling land and clearing bushes and heavy thickets.During the construction, the Ram Lalla idols will be shifted to another place. “Ram Lalla idols will be shifted 150 metres from the sanctum sanctorum of the makeshift temple to Manas Bhawan and placed in a bullet-proof fibre structure till the temple is constructed,” the chief priest said.At present, there are 12-odd temples, including Ram Janmasthan and Sita Rasoi, on the site. It is not yet decided whether these temples, will be included in the Ram temple or will be shifted somewhere else.Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee Nripendra Misra visited the site on Saturday along with the other members. According to reports, construction major Larsen and Toubro has offered to design and construct the temple free of cost. It has not yet been announced whether it has a go-ahead from the Trust. There will be no contract, an insider said.The date for the beginning of the actual construction work will be announced soon.
